I've been fortunate to have a few shinies over the years. The first I can remember is my Electrode in Emerald, followed by a shiny Lotad. Emerald was a treasure trove of shinies for me. I also vaguely remember seeing a shiny Shuppet but accidentally knocked him out. More recently I caught a shiny Gastly in Pearl, a shiny Ratatta in Heart Gold, and a shiny Pawniard in X.

Next one was probably something in Gen III, but the next one I remember and actually know for a fact I caught was a Shiny Onix. Found it on Iron Island, or whatever it was called, while I was with Riley. Had to fucking murder his Lucario so it wouldn't KO it. Later on that same save, found a shiny Starly. Raised him up for my in game team.

Later on I found a shiny Golbat or something in a run through of FireRed, but had no balls. And I found a shiny Eevee a few days ago in X.

Oh god I'm getting flashbacks. Had a shiny Buneary encounter with Cheryl, but I couldn't kill her Chansey before she Egg Bombed it to death. Why did I pick that time to make a pretty much all special focused team? Why?

Also just ran away from a Shiny Octillery while trying to get a Protean Frogadier in someone's friend safari.

My first shiny (not counting Red Gyarados from Gold) was in FireRed, found a shiny Spearow while training next to Cerulean. Later in the Berry Forest I came across a shiny Pidgey but it used Whirlwind. I just shut off my game and angrily punched the car seat (I was on vacation).
Yesterday I came across a shiny Solosis in X, my first shiny in years. Too bad about the color though, I could literally not see any difference, I wouldn't have known if it weren't for the sparkles.

The first one that I knocked out thinking that my game was fucked was a Marill.
The first one I caught was a Tentacool, I think. I've also caught a couple shiny Zubat and a shiny Bagon (this one was in an emulator so I dunno where it went).

First Shiny I ever caught was in Crystal. was fishing and pulled up a shiny horsea. thought it looked different so I caught it. Didn't realize it was that rare. turned it into a shiny Kingdra. MFW I can never bring it forward to current generation and the save battery on the cartridge is probably dead.
