So, when you mega evolve a pokemon, does that first turn play out considering the mega evolution's speed or not?

I know for a fact that my mega manectric outsped the opponent's hawlucha, but the hawlucha still attacked first.

WHAT GIVES /VP/??!?!

Mega stats don't count on the first turn. Use Protect or some shit to skip that shitty turn of bad stats.

I watched a WiFi battle recently with MegaGengar and MegaLucario.
MegaLucario was already active and just KO'd something so the other guy brought in Gengar and Mega'd it.
The Lucario attacked first
Then the next turn the MegaGengar attacked first.
So it seems Speed is calculated before the Mega Evolution

The moment a turn starts, all speed is calculated.
You could see this in Gen 5 with a doubles team and drizzle/swift swim.
Have Swift Swim user out, switch in drizzle user and the swift swim would still be slower until the next turn
