>>14972240its got nothing to do with how well they are drawn. One is specifically meant to be older to cater to the more active "adult" audience that plays the games. More adults play the games instead of watching the show. When going for your demographic that is meant to project there persona onto a character you have to go with a neutral age. That way they can relate to the character more. When making a character that is supposed to be a companion to a younger main character, then you need to make the character match the MCs age.
barely anything about the 2 characters even look a like....except for clothes. They even differ on the shapes of the eyes and faces. Forget the bodies for a sec. You can tell that there is a distinct age difference even in just the face alone.
also....i look at it this way. The games and manga are separate from the anime. Manga is for older, the show is for younger, and the games are for everyone, but the games and manga still relate in some ways. The show is just completely out there in its own little universe
