because your stats are on average 20 points less than other pokemon which means you will lose 100% of the time in ditto battles and will commonly lose speed battles against different pokemon with similar speed to you or lower w/ scarf where you should have won if you had 31 in speed

also you will get OHKOd by attacks that should not normally OHKO you with 31 HP DEF and/or SDEF

and you will not be able to OHKO when you need to

I'm not going to bother with IVs until they allow me to manipulate them and or quantify them wihtout that piece of shit NPC. They need to given proper weight as a mechanic and to be acknowledged on the summary screen.
