I'm not much into battling, but are 95/78/71 defenses good for taking many hits if invested in?

I want to use him as more of a supporting role since he doesn't have many punches to take advantage of Iron Fist, or the raw power to just attack constantly unboosted.

-Parting Shot
-Storm Throw
-Shadow Claw
