Go back to the Glittering Cave post-game and rock smash. You can find all the previous gen fossils, though the Gen III ones are exclusive to X and the Gen I ones exclusive to Y.

It's even easier to get a Dragonite/Tyranitar/other pseudo, and trading XY shinies is retarded, as they'll be the only 100% legit ones in December, bearing way more value in trades.

If you stay in one spot and keep fishing/running without reeling too slow/fast or getting "not even a nibble" you run into a shiny after like 15-20 minutes.

Since you can use a pokemon with suction cups and fish in certain places so that you'll always have an encounter, as long as your reflexes aren't shit, you're pretty much guaranteed a shiny

After a chain of 40 when you're using the radar you're pretty much guaranteed one. If a shiny patch doesnt show by then keep recharging and reusing the radar until on pops up.

Hatched Noibats for days; after getting a Japanese Ditto from a Wonder Trade I got one on the first box.
Next try was Eevee, got a shiny female in 5 eggs.
Fishing for a shiny Corsola, found a shiny Gorebyss while looking for it.
Shiny Corsola showed up a while later.
Caught a shiny Poliwhirl today, got tired of chaining, found someone with a Friend Safari that had Swadloons in it and caught a few to breed just because.
Hatched a shiny Sewaddle ~6 or 7 eggs in just trying to get the Dream World to pass down.

Currently hatching my 5th or 6th box of Hoothoots.

I was hatching Chespins for Wonder Trade cause why not... I hatched a shiny Chespin. Didn't even expect it. I called it Bagel and I'm going to give it to my brother as soon as he gets his game.
