Please tell me I'm not the only one to try Ranked and immediately get bodied by nips.

I was doing pretty well in free battle too. Was not expecting this.

I lost 3 then gave up.

I hate being autistic about ranked scores but I just can't stop myself. Wanted to get away from the legendaries in free only to be assaulted by autstic nips and their aegisslashes.

I did, but I didn't expect even the nips just starting out with lower scores to still body me. I'm not like, great at Pokemon(evidently), but I was going pretty consistent on free. I guess I'm just like "wow" that I went in a bit confident and got my ass handed so bad.

Nips aren't unbeatable or anything. This isn't SC2 where practising 10 hours a day will mean you beat anyone who doesn't practise as much as you.

Take note of what Pokemon nips commonly use. Start using the same Pokemon and you'll be able to keep a 50 % win ratio going..

I went to a book store here in Japan, and found a book for pokemon competitive fighting for BW2. the book was full of ev splits, movesets, team stragies and shit. In the book there wasn't a single picture of a pokemon. It was like a super technical manual for adults. They take Pokemon serious as fuck over here.

They also don't have teirs like smogon, and base everything off of wifi battle strategies.

I hadn't used/seen mewtwo y in battle before (got it and then immediately maxed EVs), got 3 consecutive challenges back to back.

Mostly a bunch of terrible pokemon on me (was friend safari hunting at the time, so random level ~30s) and didn't want to go to pc to switch so I just swept the three challengers with mewtwo.

Are levels scaled down to 50 in free battles? Been wanting to try them but I don't see anything about level scale so I don't wanna go without leveling my bros to 100 (which I could easily do, if I wasn't so distracted on shiny hunting)
