Just caught this guy at the 3rd turn, in the 2nd Dusk Ball.
Was it that easy for you guys?

(I recall Zekrom being fairly easy to catch in White, too)

Caught him with the first ball i tossed and it was a luxury.
Modest Nature with max Sp.Att, Def, Sp.Def & Speed IVs.
He's staying in the box because i don't care much for legendary pokes

yes. they dumbed down the legendary catch rates like a motherfucker.

i remember when legendaries in r/b/g/s/r/s needed around 50 balls to catch but after gamefreak decided that making the games easier might get them more sales (which is fucking retarded ass backwards logic since overcoming challenges is what gets people addicted to certain games)

i caught my xerneas after 2 ultra balls. i remember a time where 50 ultar balls wouldn't catch a sleeping legendary bird

It was easy, but it doesn't really bother me. I can see how it would be, but when it comes to legendaries you always catch them either way. Whether the games make it dreadfully easy to catch them with a single Quick Ball or whether you wear down their life, paralyze them, and hurl thirty ultra balls.

He's been boxed ever since anyway. Same with Mewtwo.

Well, the competitive scene did need to be made more accessible and easier for casual players to get into legitimately.

But the actual gameplay needed to be harder if anything.

The catch rate makes sense with these Story legendaries since they usually want to help you out but other ones i agree should fight like hell and take 50+ Ultras

I guess it's because they are part of the storyline. You HAVE to catch them, because the storyline has to move on, and you gotta be "the chosen one".
In BW, there must be the Zekrom vs. Reshiram fight, so that we have a climax.

Just wanted to check if it was only me.

Only Mewtwo preferred to be slapped once then stayed in the Pokéball.
Why would I need anything beside a basic Pokéball?
