Ok fuckers, cleared X yesterday so let's talk fucking easiness.
I avoided all avoidable trainers in the entire game, never grinded unless i was looking for a specific pokémon and never used rare candies.
The result is that i never lost a single battle, never had any of my team members faint in battle and cleared the elite 4 and champion only taking any kind of damage twice with my pokemon about 5-10 levels higher than anything they had. I cleared 3 of the elite 4 using ONE MOVE per pokemon they had. Note that i just caught random stuff i liked and did not prepare for the battles in any way. Nor did i use megas.
I did get max affection and super training on all mons though. It was nice to bond with my team. I only wish we could have bonded over winning ONE SINGLE CHALLENGING BATTLE. I even started feeling really really sorry for Serena because she wasn't a rival at all but just a sweet girl who was hopelessly massacred without denting me a single time. I started wondering what would happen if i just "let her have this one". Far cry from Gary/Silver??? Rivalry my ass.
Oh, and when you reach the champion she really does feel very imposing. "OMG IT'S YOU THE AWESOME HERO WHO SAVED THE WORLD PLEASE BE NICE TO ME". Killed her in 6 moves and went have a parade for myself because I'm literaly invincible although all i did was click flamethrower many times in a row with some walking in between.
Game was amazing, but the so easy i reset twice trying to find the "actual gameplay" setting. Are your experiences simillar?
