So apparently some Japanese guy found a way to guarantee shinies using the Poke Radar.

He talks a lot about this image, and then in the demonstration, as far as I could tell, he kept trying to get a patch 4 steps away from his location. If there wasn't one, he ran around in the grass until one appeared.

This doesn't really sound much different from the chaining guides we already have, which mention using repels and resets.

I tried this and after about a chain of 10, I suddenly encountered a different Pokemon. There must be something else here I'm not understanding. Hopefully that Smogon guy translates this quickly.

There is always a small chance to break the chain even if you do everything by the book, it is not humanly possible to make a perfect 40 chain each time, no matter how much you try.

K, I will watch the whole thing and translate it if it hasn't been done before I finish my classes.

Going to class in 10 min, I just skipped around the video.

Basically, what he is saying is the same as DP/Pt chaining.

How he is chaining Klefki is using a Magnet Pull Magneton.

He recommends as large a field as you possibly can find, possibly doing it at dusk or dawn so the grass is more easily seen.

Use repels, and only find pokemon 4 spaces away from where you radar'd.

If no such event occurs, walk for 50 steps to reset the radar, and try again.

Nothing really has changed, he just summed up previously known methods we already know.

There's probably more stuff, but the video only loaded half way and I'm skipping through it, I really need to go to class.
