Red and Lucas were my favorite.
They had excellent rivals. The former became Champion and the latter both backs you up and takes you on at every turn. Also, his pops is a Battle Frontier leader.
In terms of accomplishments Lucas definitely wins, though. Holy shit, saving reality from being written by a ranting lunatic. Even going so far as to climb the tallest mountain in the pokemon world, defeating the remaining Galactic commanders, jumping into another dimension, traverse it and get help from 3 legendaries, chase and defeat said madman, and then take on an ageless Eldritch Abomination THAT DESCENDS INTO BATTLE.
