So, I just caught this. Do you think mega shiny Absol will look cool? It's a female, too, if that matters.

Also, I've never caught a shiny before. I'm pretty happy. Shiny thread?

Absol was the only shiny I caught myself before X and Y. Got it in Pearl using the Poke Radar. Kind of happy now that I can mega evolve it.

So far in X, I've caught Pumpkaboo day one [my gen VI favorite, so I was ecstatic], and yesterday while chain fishing I managed to snag a Clawitzer and two Qwilfish.

Been MMing Eevees for almost a week though and nothing yet. Hopefully I'll get one soon. Good news is I actually bred a perfect IV Eevee while breeding for my team, so I can use that and hopefully get one with workable IVs.

Found a shiny Trevenant and then used the fishing method to get a shiny horsea and a shiny chinchou which i traded for a shiny spritzy.

Don't do it, OP. Shiny Octillery is super common now because of the fishing chaining.

From the looks of it, he can't mega evolve it yet. He's probably early in the game, and whenever I tried to weaken these fuckers early game, they'd tear my team to shreds while I try to catch them in a good ball.

The Pumpkaboo and Clawitzer were caught without any O-Powers used. Qwilfish had me using level one. Keep in mind you can buy Premier Balls for 200 each in Lumiose.

Does the game tell you that it's shiny when you encounter it? This is my first Pokemon game in more than a decade, so if any of the ones added since Red/Blue/Yellow look different I probably wouldn't notice.
