i've tried to fish with a super rod 4 times now, and they all returned with a shiny within 40 minutes.

Then i tried the good rod, and in the 3 times i've tried, none has shown up in 70 minutes.

Does chaining only work with the superrod? it makes sense since the woman who teaches you about it lives with the guy who gives you the superrod.
