So I beat the game, checked out Friend Safari a bit...but is that it?
I haven't really played any pokemon games since Ruby so I have no idea what end game should be. But is there anything to do now that I'm a champion? Is there a cave where I can go and catch really powerful stuff?

All of this, and probably twice as much more if you're down to buy the sequel/Third version in a year or two.

And remember that part of the post-game is Trainer Card Upgrading, and breeding/Training a good team to battle with.

Kanto may have been smaller than it was in RBY but GS easily had the biggest postgame of any first-pass mainline release. If you want to cite games with bad postgames at least do it properly.

Don't listen to him. There's a postgame, in two legendaries (one is in Terminus Cave, and the other is in the cave in the Pokemon Village.) There's the Battle Mansion, which is increasingly difficult battles to challenge your team and encourage you to try different stuff. There's also the Mega Stone hunt, which can be activated by doing one battle in the Battle Mansion, defeating Serena/Calem in the same city (towards the north) and then flying to Anistar City and finding Sycamore. Not only does this let you look for Mega Stones, you can also do some Looker missions in Lumiose.

In my opinion it's a lot better than any of the Gen V postgame, it could use a bit more story stuff, and a Battle Frontier, though.

Anyway theres also a lot of stuff to do in Lumoise City, like those battle restaurant places, Looker Bureau

Postgame is bigger than RB, RS, and BW.

In terms of raw features the game is also much deeper than DP so you're getting a pretty extensive experience on that front too.

The story and things to do constantly changes in vidya, but the cor game will stay the same. For Pokemon, it's training a team to play against your friends.

It really depends, some people do not count Kanto as postgame for GSC, as Red is the final battle. It makes a little sense as Lance was pretty underwhelming compared to Blue (his best Pokemon is a level 50 dragonite).

No, it was just wiped clean of major adventure points since it was the fucking POSTGAME.

It was still interesting to go through and see how everything had changed. The music was updated too. There was a shit-load to do relatively speaking. We're strictly comparing it to other first-release postgames.

You get placed in the Hall of Fame upon beating Lance, after which you're able to cross over to Kanto. It's the postgame, and Red is effectively the "end" of the postgame.

the 3DS always produces 3D when the little symbol is shown besides the slider. If you turn it off, it just doesn't display the second picture that usually gets send to the other eye.

At least Hoenn slowed you down with Zubats and Tentacools, Sinnoh had a shitton of legendaries and a small post-game area to lurk around while Unova had this amazing post-game and unlocking 500+ old Pokemon once you beat the E4

Because 3D simply re-renders the scene from a slightly different camera angle. The models/textures are already in system memory. No loading is necessary.

You're stupid, and you made this up yourself as a retarded explanation and are having a hard time being convinced it's not true.

The 3D light means 3D is available. Only when the slider is turned on does the system actually employ two rendering passes. This is why 3D battles have significantly lower framerates than turning the 3D off. The difference is dramatic.

Endgame feels like any other first series release in a new game. Not much to do.

The only difference is there isn't as many legendary pokemon to catch.

That doesn't bother me though because even if there were 10 legendary pokemon to catch they all would get caught in a day or two.

The only thing X and Y does different than the other entry games is give us the ability to change music. I've battled a lot online just because I don't have to listen to the same theme all the time.

Shame that the battle maison only gives music 1-4 instead of all 11 choices.

And the framerate does get better. That wasn't the point, the point was that some framerate drops do occur even with 3D off (considerably fewer, however). This demonstrates that the engine is already sub-optimal, and explains why turning 3D on practically kills it.

And I have been busy breeding, so I'm good. Also Friend Safari. Adding friends is easy as fuck, just hit one of the threads here and add some people. My entire team rose like 3 levels because I caught so many pokemon.

They do this because the Maison leaders feature the E4 battle theme doesn't make any sense why it's limited to 1-4 though

You guys should check out the Battle Chateau.

You can re-fight gym leaders and E4 members there. You can adjust the levels of the trainers. You can request for more to arrive. I really don't understand why so few are bringing the BC up. It's one of the best side features we've had in these games.

My Magmar has grown like 15 levels like thta. Just taught him Flametrhower. He's my incubator Pokemon, and he can easily kill that shit alone. I do it inbetween breeding to farm some cash while I breed.

It's on Route 5 I believe (same one as the Day-care Center).

If you haven't spent much time in there before you'll have to wade through a lot of rather low level trainers, but the more you battle the higher your rank grows, which draws in tougher trainers. The final rank allows you to issue a request for all trainers to have 20 level higher Pokemon, which can put some into the 60s and 70s.

This is exactly what happened to every successful MMO. People no life grind it, instead of treating it as a role playing experience. For Christ's sake, it's a ROLE PLAYING GAME. You rp a bit, chuckle at your autism and move on.

At least the pvp in pokemon makes sense and isn't complete garbage.

I'll be seeing level 65s when I become a Grand Duke and issue the Black Writ of Challenge.

Considering the trainers shift around every couple of hours, that's a fair amount to do to keep training.

Both games featured a decent number of new areas to explore, especially BW2, which also had a buttload of stuff to do like Black City/White Treehollow, Clay tunnel/Twist Mountain and the Regis, a decent number of special trainers to fight, and the motherfucking boner-inducing PWT
