How does phantom force work out for you? Does the added base power over shadow claw end up mattering enough to make up for the predictability? Or does the prediction become a non-issue with protect being removed as an option.
Also are you speed invested? I have max HP with wisp instead of twave, but I might change to twave since that's what I used to use on banette anyway.

I'm speed invested yes. Phantom force works better in doubles when there's no predicting who's gonna get hit and you can use it to save yourself from friendly fire. It's VERY punishable if it doesn't kill, but since ghost is resisted by so little unless you come up against significant bulk it'll probably end up taking out most things.

As the video shows it's also the very definition of a hard counter for aegislash.

There's also this hilarious case with speed boost blaze where he gets faster than 'nett while it's in its invincibility turn, thus giving it invincibility for BOTH turns.

Yes, you can breed it fairly painlessly off of Phantump
Destiny Bond and Gunk Shot are egg moves too. You can get bond off the phantump, but be prepared to tediously raise a gulpin for gunk shot.

I just tried out your battle with my banette.
I have max HP and ATK with shadow claw/suckerpunch/w-o-w/dbond. Sucker worked really well for predicting the king's shield.
Shadow claw was still able to 1shot aegislash in defensive stance, burn was also enough to make shadow sneak do jack shit against Banette.

Mega Banette is very interesting.

Prankster doesn't activate when you mega evolve unfortunately, so you have to evolve Banette on a revenge kill or something you can bulk.

A little disappointing, but you get used to it. This is also where normal Banette's possible abilities can be useful. Insomnia prevents you from falling asleep on switch-in, frisk is more valuable now with megastones.

You get it as you enter the post game town.

You activate it from key items.

Every time you fight online or in the chateau/battle test you'll get an option to save videos. If you do they'll show up there and you can publish them to the internet with that lumpy code you see at the top.

In the same vein so long as you're online you can enter codes to see other's battles, or even enter into mock battles with the contestants in the recording

People have trouble understanding that some pokemon have mixed roles.
For M. Banette you get some awesome prankster moves like taunt/dbond/twave/wisp and he also has some attacking power in the form of shadow claw/sucker punch/phantomforce/etc.
A good set will make use of both.

I have a question about greninja
I have a protean one and I was thinking a special moveset that would be good is
Ice Beam [Dragon, Flying, Grass]
Dark Pulse [Psychic Ghosts]
Surf or Hydro Pump for pretty much everything else.

For my last slot I was thinking U-Turn, to switch out if needed.
Or Water Shurriken, for the priority water type change. Since I might be vulnerable to a revenge kill from something while I'm an Ice type.
Opinions?

Water Shuriken is physical though, so that could be a problem.

I personally use a modest, life orbed Greninja with Surf/Dark Pulse/Extrasensory/Ice Beam and it's been working pretty well so far. Other Greninjas can be trouble though, so Grass Knot and U-Turn would also be good options instead of Extrasensory.

Honestly, Greninja doesn't even benefit from Dark Pulse when it's typing is constantly changing. I'm using a Modest LO set too, but using Scald (To be replaced with Hydro Pump), Ice Beam, Extrasensory, and U-Turn

The only thing I hate right now is Timid Greninjas. Kind of regretting Modest.

It still gets stab from Dark Pulse though, and Dark covers Psychic Types and Ghosts which may become more prevailent. and would you also reccomend U-Turn over Shurriken? I've been planning this for a while, and whenever I think of fainting a pokemon with Ice Beam, i think of a fast fire type, or fighting type, or Scizor coming in, ready to exploit the Ice Weakness. I was thinking Shurriken might be able to get rid of that.

My Modest is shiny, so there's real no going back for me, unless I suddenly feel like breeding a timid one haha.

Whats wrong with Roost on Hydreigon? It's on the default moveset in the Smogon dex, and I use it on mine. Very useful when you're using a Life Orb, there are usually a few opportunities to use it when your opponent switches out per match because Hydreigon has so much Super Effective coverage with its other 3 moveslots.

Mine has EVs all over the place and I don't even recall her nature, but I prefer to use her as a special tank rather than a sweeper, even with moderately low HP.

When I play with randoms I see a lot of people attacking her with anti-grass moves, and when they try to attack her with special moves and let me set up and then sorta panic, the results are hilarious.

She'll probably be less effective for me once people actually learn about Florges.

I have zero experience with online battles so I do apologize if I miss something obvious but why didn't he switch out or something? Seeing him trying to get an aura sphere/psychic through protect and that loafing around thingy seemed a bit weird, he just spammed and never tried anything else.
