What's the best way to get this bastard? There's the Masuda Method, which I could also try to use for a better nature. I also imagine it would be more reliable, but wouldn't it take long as shit?

I was thinking with Pokeradar chaining and a Magnet Pull Pokemon in front, I'd have pretty good chances. Thoughts?

I haven't tested it myself, but I thought move relearners couldn't give pre-evo only moves that the pokemon didn't know when it was the pre-evo. Otherwise I wouldn't have waited for my Shroomish to learn spore before evolving it.

Is this confirmed? Can you move relearn pre-evo only moves?

Yes, it was changed this gen.

Essentially the move relearner will teach you any conceivable move your Pokemon would know at that level. And it can reteach you egg moves.

Reteach egg moves as in, ones you successfully bred to the pokemon but for some reason got rid of? Or just offers to teach any egg move your pokemon is capable of learning? If the latter is true, that ruins the point of egg moves.

Just tested.

Aegislash can relearn Sacred Sword and King's Shield from the move relearner. Even though it evolves with a stone, it has access to all of the moves it learned as a Doublade.

What level was your Aegislash? Did you have to get it above 51 first since that's when Doublade learns sacred sword? Or could you teach sacred sword to a level 35 Aegislash?

Kind of like how chain fishing ruins the point of shinies? Since it ruins the point, Game Freak would clearly never do it, right? Just because something sounds dumb doesn't mean GF wouldn't do it. More often than not, the opposite is true.

I had it learn sacred sword as a doublade, yes. But some of the moves it can relearn I never let it learn.

There is a guy who tells you that something special happens if you chain fish. You couldn't Pokeradar certain Pokemon like Magikarp or Goldeen, now you can shiny hunt them the same way you would a wild Skiddo or Ditto.

You see that doesn't really answer my question. I want to know if you evolve Doublade at level 50, just before it could learn sacred sword, will Aegislash be able to learn ss via move relearner? I'm talking about moves you never even gave the pokemon a chance to learn, not ones it used to know or had the chance to know. Then how would that work? Could a level 50 Aegislash "relearn" ss? Or does he need to be level 51+ to relearn it since that's when Doublade learns it?
