I'm not looking for much, just some quick early-game Ralts or something with Adamant and Modest natures and Synchronize. I spent a couple hours looking for some in route 4, but am having shit luck. Anyone willing to help me out? I'm still not at the second gym, so don't have much to offer in return, but would be really grateful.

Use a repel and walk around with a level 8 from that area in your party. It will significantly increase your find rate. I caught many ralts using this method.
