As far as I know, Smogon's builds for her are all for NU. You won't get away with trying to do that with all the OUs running around.

Smogon is a good place to start, but blindly following it is a really bad habit.

That's not the point, the point is it is wasted stats. Most things will outspeed Mawile easily. HP lets you use her bulk, especially for switch-ins.

Mega Mawile in general can't go against Blaziken/Mega Blaziken. It may be tanky but it's not enough and it doesn't have a move to take down the chicken with even if it does manage to somehow survive 1 attack.

I've had her swap into Ice Beams, Dazzling Gleams, Rock Slides, and Moonblasts just fine. Then again mine is careful natured.

Mega Mawile isn't meant to be a sweeper outside of trick room, it is meant to be semi bulky that can one shot bitches. Use MegaWile alongside Salamence though and you're golden, the two cover each other perfectly.

You can easily switch her in to fairy and dragon attacks.
Not to mention with steel typing and that defense you can also have her take the hit from a good number of physical attacks.

Make sure you have your EV's into hp and att and she can take a hit and then either scare them into switching or deliver a devastating sucker punch.

With intimidate and full HP investment it can take a lot of hits. No shit you can't switch into a blaziken, it has a super effective stab and a shit ton more speed, no matter how much speed you put on it. Mawile can switch in on dragon moves, poison, dark, rock, ice, grass, bug psychic, and normal physical moves and get off the intimidate. And sucker punch will destroy a good portion of threats with huge power, like metagross, jirachi, gengar, alakazam, etc.

That 50 HP and 55 SDef pre-mega makes me all kinds of nervous. And without the Intimidate debuff its Mega form physical bulk is only about as good as base 90/90 (special is roughly 90/67).
