I've been using the super training feature and every stat seems to rise by 1 every 8 EVs, that means my Pokémon will only get half the bonus improvement on each stat I train.

EV benefits scale with level. It's only 1 point per 4 at level 100.

Yes and No. If you have the held items and Pokerus, then it definitely is super easy mode. Otherwise, spamming the first level ones which can be done in >5 seconds is faster.

EVs are calculated at +1 Stat point per 4 EVs at level 100, which means you won't see the full benefit of the EVs you put into your Pokémon until it reaches that level; there will still be a benefit, just not as significant as when it reaches the maximum level.

Sounds EXACTLY right, since that's how the scaling works.

OP, there's a multiplier. The way to determine final stats of a mon at level 100 is adding together

IV
Base Stat (x2)
EV (divided by 4)

Then multiply that by 1.1 for helpful nature, or 0.9 for hindering nature.

To scale for levels, it's a percentage. So at level 43, take that total and multiply it by 0.43

(note, this isn't 100% accurate, since the rounding down is done more than just right at the end, so you might be off by a point)

Never use rare candies in the first place on EV trained pokemon, it doesn't account for EVs.

Also, you will only get 1 per 8 EVs no matter what at 50. That's still a 43 point difference though in 2 stats

A lv 50 pokemon with maxed EVs and a lv 100 with the same maxed EV repartition will have the same stats once they are scaled down to 50 for online battle.
There is no point in getting your pokémon to lv 100 other than crushing NPC trainers.

What, rare candies don't matter. If you have two Pokemon that are EV trained, one was leveled up via battling and one via rare candies, they will both be the same.

I still honestly think that sweet scenting hordes is faster than doing the first game, though, even if you don't have items. The startup and end time is very long.

Rare Candy means that the level increases by 1. There's no drawback to using one.

The popular wisdom that cautions against Rare Candy leveling is because leveling up with rare candies doesn't GIVE EVs, while leveling up via battling does, so a rare candied mon will have lower overall stats at the same level due to not earning EVs. Same is true of the popular wisdom against catching higher level mons or daycare leveling; leveling up without giving EVs < leveling up while giving EVs.

A mon that's already EV trained sees no difference. If you've got rare candies to spare, no harm in using them.

They were talking explicitly about no items/Pokerus, they indeed wouldn't be able to get 50 without those.

Although by endgame those are relatively simple to get and I'm not sure why you would bother to EV without them and not just spend an hour for faster EVs forevermore.

im not sure about post max EVS but if you just boost something with rare candies.. it doesnt get evs...and its stats get fucked.. its safe to just save those for some other shit... like evolving a goodra in rainy weather... without camping around for hours.

And that's true.

Granted, level 50 is not EXACTLY the same as level 100 cut in half, because of rounding (it takes 8 EVs to make a stat point rather than 4, so you need to assign EVs slighty differently to avoid wasting a stat point, same with IVs), but the larger point that there's no competitive advantage to leveling up past 50 is absolutely true.

That changed in Gen V, as they made it so level 100 pokemon can get IVs(when they previously could not).

In addition, we have super training this gen. Which also works on level 100 pokemon.

Once you get the EVs, you keep them forever or until you reset them.
You're free to rare candy as much as you want.

There is no dark magic involved in the stats you have when your level scales down or up.
The games takes you specie, IVs, EVs and your nature - ALL things that are independent of your level - then it calculates what stats you have.

You seem to be thinking of leveling up as a "window" where stats are added, and if you've got the EVs when you level up, more stat points get assigned or something, and you can miss that.

Nope.

EVs are reassigned immediately since Gen V. You could get a level 1 mon, feed it 100 rare candies, then EV train it, and its stats would be IDENTICAL to if you EV trained that same level 1 mon and then leveled up to 100 with battling experience.

This is indisputable mathematical fact. The stats a mon has at 100 are calculated then and there; it doesn't "inherit" stats from earlier levels which carry over. A mon can lose stat points easily.

A fully EV trained pokemon at level 50 will have roughly half the stat increases it would at level 100. 50 is half of 100. Get it.

This is still significant enough to greatly effect a battle.

Okay, so I'm an idiot, and everyone here seems to be mad. I'm just going to ask flat out: I'm just now getting into this kind of stuff, I just got a Fennekin with the nature, ability, and IVs I want at level one, and if I want to get the most out of it then what should I do? Should I start and finish EV training before it gains a level? Should I level it to a certain level, reset bag it, and then EV train? If the latter, what level?

Either will give you the same result. It would probably be easiest to just super train it now in the EVs you want unless you have pokerus and the right items. See>>15066606

Once it has the EVs, level it however you want.

Yes, this is where I wanted to get from the beggining, however the next thing is not fully clear to me:

A fully EV trained lvl 50 Mon will get half the stat boost it would at lvl 100, FACT. However, when super training I've noticed that it says "Additional obtainable Base Points".
Does that mean BASE Stats will be increased or only the stat as is?
As a first answer to my own question I'd say the only boost will be given to the stat on itself and the Base stats will remain untouched, however, asking just to be sure.

It means that because your mon isn't at level 100 it still has Base stat points to acquire via leveling up. If the pokemon is scaled down to 50 though it doesn't matter because its base stats are then set at what they would be at level 50.

Okay, I think I get it. I was just having a hard time grasping the fact that the end result is the same. Granted, I just woke up, but by skimming the thread I see people saying it takes 8 EVs to get a stat point prior to level 50 whereas it takes 4 EVs to get a stat point afterward. However, I see this post >>15066469 which clears it up well enough for my half-sleeping mind to comprehend. I understand there's a mathematical formula behind it, but I'm not ready to think yet. Those are just the amount of EVs added to the stat.
Think of it this way: for every 4 EVs in a stat at level 100 you get +1 to that stat.
It scales, for example at level 25 you would need 16 EVs in a stat to get +1 to that stat.

Protip: Only smash the L bags. The others aren't worth it, throw those away. Save a couple L bags for the next Pokemon you need to super train. That will speed up the process a shit ton, believe me.

And buy vitamins. If you're training in speed and attack, but 10 carbos and 10 protein. They're expensive, but you save a lot of time.
