Hey /vp/. I just caught a shiny zubat in Connecting Cave. Pretty pumped. Problem is, its Modest nature. I know, shitty. Was hoping to get some opinions regarding EV training. Should I still go ATK regardless of the modest nature? Or should I go Sp.Atk and try to make it work? Thanks.

Do whatever, but make sure you keep it.

If they ever crack the RNG for this game you will need a natural caught shiny to find your shiny PID.

You could always make it into a Specially Offensive Crobat, since you can now have Hypnosis and Nasty Plot, that with maxed sp atk and speed would make a pretty decent special sweeper

Long story, but trust me bro.
Feel free to trade away any shinies you get from fishing chains and radar but always keep true random shinies.

Not sure how this works with matsuda.

There are numbers in pokemon games which determine the shiny or not value of a pokemon.

If you want to make a shiny pokemon through hacks and trade it then you have to make sure the numbers are right.

So, the easiest way to do that is to find real shiny pokemon and just copy them.

RNG bro, the patrician method of exploiting pokemon. Always keep natural shinies (ones that weren't encountered due to altered game mechanics) because they will be used to "unlock" shiny PID seeds if they crack the RNG for this game. Which they most likely will.

Try a nasty plot set, for special sweeping.

It learns Air Cutter and SLudge Bomb (both special I think). Maybe even Heat Wave since it's flying.
