I can't believe this. I saved in the Laverre City Pokecenter, after doing some Wonder Trading.

Also,this isn't really something that's been exclusive to XY, I've seen other people get corrupted game files in gen 4/5 as well for various reasons I can't really remember now.

Tried it. The game data itself isn't corrupt, so no need to redownload it.
If you press X+B+Up on that screen, it'll take you to the "DELETE ALL YOUR DATA?" option.
Which right now isn't the best idea, considering we don't know what the big N is up to.

That's true, but maybe it's possible to salvage my pokemon.
The pokebank works like that. It doesn't load the game up, it simply moves your pokemon directly from the save file to the cloud.
If I can get my bros back, I don't mind starting over.

3DS is near-mint condition, I had it delivered on the 14th October. The 3DS is perfect. It is an American 3DS.

SD card is also brand new, the recommended one that came up when I searched Amazon. It is 16GB.

Being imported, I didn't want to wait another week or two for a physical copy of Pokemon Y, so I bought it digitally with an eshop card.

I have had a couple of communication errors, a couple of Game Sync failures (why isn't Game Sync being used to backup savedata like Steam actually) but nothing else. I knew of the Lumiose City glitch before I got there. I've never saved there.

I play on physical, I get the GTS trade thing all the time. I only occurs when you go to trade a pokemon but it says it was traded and you try to trade for that again. If it says its traded but you still see it, do not try again.

Always back up your save! It's easy, the pokemon save file is 1024 bytes and probably your most recently updated file on the 3ds.

This same exact thing happened to me today.

I have a digital copy and in these past few hours my 3ds has been shutting down randomly. Didn't shut down during saving or anything, just turned it back on to find this. I'm hoping it was my Nyko Power Pak not working rather than my system itself having a problem, so I put my old battery in and I'm waiting to see if that was the issue.
Meanwhile I'm sending an email to Nintendo to find out how to fix it. The manual says save files to the SD card can be restored if this happens, so whatever you do, don't delete that save OP.

So...the corruption itself seems to be exclusive to the digital copy so far. Guess I won't be doing any online shit with my digital X, but at least I still have physical Y. I'm not sure I really want to find out if it can happen with physical though.

i have a physical x. in the gts it would crash if i tried trading a pokemon from my party or i guess if i used the "party pokemon" search filter. so i just manually look through pokemon and trade from only my boxes. hasnt happened again. this game just feels rushed to me
