Nigga most modeling classes have you doing a model a week from scratch. Gamefreak's modeling process was shown off and it's incredibly streamlined once you have the original drawing down. Making animations is easy as shit for 3D models, even harder than it is than for 2D sprites. Not to mention that's however many People are working at Gamefreak all working on that.
