So I'd finally gotten a shiny Honedge and I want to get it as good as it can get.

Brave nature and all.
But what gets me is when i went to scout for some movesets on serebii, I'd noticed that the Base attack and defense of aegislash were completely different.

So I've been wondering, how should I super train this fucker while its still young if the attack and defense get swapped around constantly?

Would pouring points into defense and then have it go into sword forme sky rocket its attack?

False Swipe Parasect is better. Even if just for capturing dittos. The Spore makes capturing 2.5x easier. On average wild dittos in Safari took about 3 Ultraballs to capture. With SLEEP condition, it's capture on first most of the time.

BAH! False swiper is for capturing wild pokemon. Just get Paras from a friend, get it happy in Pokemon-Amie, put Lucky Egg on it, and overlevel it to 60+. That's easily enough for most pokemon out there.

lead with Abra with Synchronize, nature you want, and the only move it has being Rest.

or if you're after general dittos, have Parasect with Dry Skin, and lead with pokemon that only knows water moves.

No. It doesn't actually swap Attack and Defense on form switch. It just alters the base stats. So while it would raise it's defense in both Sword and Shield mode, it wouldn't affect your attack in either mode.

Protip: Put it all in HP and Attack

Is Sword Dance really necessary on Aegislash? His attack is naturally stupidly high, I feel their has to be a better use than just making him even stronger.

but everyone knows you catch a ditto by switching out to a zigzagoon so that's what it transforms into, right?

I run the standard
Sacred Sword
Shadow Sneak/Shadow Claw
Sword Dance
King's Shield
set of moves, but since heart scales are pretty easy to come by you can try plenty of setups.
After a sword dance you sit at about 800 Attack so even a shadow sneak will cause an assload to anything that doesn't resist it.

The thing is, since he starts out in shield form, he's incredibly easy to set up Sword Dance with. There's really no reason not to take it.
