Red never had a personality, he was literally designed to be a blank slate for players to project personalities onto. You know, the entire point of a silent protagonist. Being voiced by someone means nothing for the character so long as the voice actor does a good job. And that's the entire point of mega evolution. I guess it was more to do with GSC.

At the end of RB and Y to some extent, everyone was like "Cool, awesome. Well, new game time" at the end.

GSC came along with Red at the top of Mt. Silver and many creamed their pants and screamed "OMG DOTS MOUNTAIN TOP SO KEEWWWL".

Protip: He's on Mount Silver to train his Pokemon; just like you are. He talks in ellipses for one of two reasons, one, to keep in with he 'silent protagonist' thing from RBY; or two; because he thinks you're a faggot and doesn't want to talk to you.

They really should have done something similar with the other games though. Better yet, with wi-fi and trading and shit, you could import your character and his/her team from your previous game, and battle them post-game. Nah; that's a shit idea since most people like to use the same kind of team in each game.

Op is complaining of Red from the anime series, not the games.

As such, it would be assumed that he knows that Red in the manga is completely different from Red in the games.

Red's Pokemon are Charizard, Poliwrath, Pikachu, Aerodactyl, Snorlax, Gyardos.

This Red is obviously based on the version you play in Pokemon Yellow, where all three starters are available as gift Pokemon.
