We know the trio are hiding in these facilities, the only question is, when, or how we'll be able to meet them. There has always been a new legendary trio set alongside the mascots since Gen ll, there's no way it's different for this generation even if the guide and pokedex "confirmed" that all pokemon have been found (which even they couldn't unlock these doors). Gen 1 Trio was filler, since we all know the game was sort of rushed with most of the attention going to 3D models. Which means, yes, these will be event legendaries, perhaps with the 3rd game (Z/X2Y2) story revolving around them and expanding on Zygarde's purpose/role. My Observations/What We know:>>Names for a supposed trio are Volcanion (Water/Fire), Diancie (Rock/Fairy), Hoopa (Psychic/Ghost) that have been leaked recently. >>The Left most area has what seems to be like heat coming from magma in the ground. >>The Center area has what seems like Steam or Geysers. >>The Right area, has giant fans/windmills. >>Access to each of the doors in front of these areas are locked, with no way to get in that has been discovered as of yet. >>When getting near these areas, the camera PANS toward them, they wouldn't just add that for no reason, there's significance to these places. >>The strangest thing is, the rumored poke's types don't match up to these facilities with the exception of Volcanion, but a certain trio does. Look back at those facilities, now think of a trio. This could be a hint at Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza rather than a new trio. So let's speculate/discuss while we shiny fish/Breed pokes!!

Point: it's possible, in fact probable, that these three are not a "trio", but simply three separate legendaries; an event edgemon, an event pixie, and the Strange Souvenir legend.
My guess is that Diancie is Strange Souvenir, Volcanyon is the event edgendary, and Hoopa is the event pixie.

Also remember, there is always at least one hidden legendary outside of the shown pokemon
>Gen 1 = Mew >Gen 2 = Celebi >Gen 3 = jirachi, Deoxys >Gen 4 = Manaphy, Darkrai, Arceus, Shaymin >Gen 5 = Keldeo, Victiny, Malloeta, Gensect It is safe to assume that these 3 new pokemon will be the legendary trio and is also safe to assume that we'll more likely get more legendaries either via DLC or events.
The game was long as hell but the post game is really incomplete, something that GF has really focused on since Emerald. We might even get an expected Pokemon Z version in the future which explains the role of all 3 pokemon. Personally the story doesn't makes sense for either game. But that's the definition of bad business; you don't blow your entire load at once. They've probably had the Poke-Amie idea in conception as far back as D/P/Pt, or possibly even earlier since there were always the console spin-offs. They just waited for the right time to implement it.
Even now, you know that they have a cache of unused Pokemon designs laying in the wake after every generation that didn't "make it in" this time around.
Besides, they're -always- very minimal when it comes to the console-transfer generation; simply because it's the logical thing to do. The first release of D/P in Japan was buggy as shit because it was the first on the DS.

The least I can see there is a mega evolution with some dude in the overworld giving you the stone for it, or Feebas evolving through yet another different method in Kalos.
>Deoxys As some anon noted in some thread, the fossil lab has meteors ready for Deoxys' formes, but appears to have one too many.

>Mega stones, or as the Team Flare grunts often put it "stones" can hold a Pokemon's energy. >Professor Sycamore said the legendary Pokemon were sleeping. He never specified how many Pokemon he meant. >The Lumiose Badlands are a caldera, or a "sleeping" volcano (Fire, combustion energy) found in a canyon. Volcano + canyon = Volcanion. >The Sea Spirits Den is a den formed by "sleeping" tectonic plates (Rocks, geothermal energy) found in the sea. Den + sea = Diancie. >The Lost Hotel is no longer in use, and could be said to be "sleeping" in the woods. One theory in paranormal investigation is that people leave energy imprints in stone, leaving (Psychic) imprints behind we see as (Ghost)s. Furthermore, swamps can eventually decompose dead organisms (Ghost, composting) into fossil fuel, and the hotel itself is filled with trash. Not to mention, a slang term for excitement, celebration, commotion, etc., as well as things not easily explained like fairies (the closest city's gym type and overall theme), psychic powers, or ghosts, is "hoopla." Hoopla = Hoopa. >All three locations are not only made of stone, but the processes by which they create energy involve stone as well. But they're "sleeping," just like the legendaries Sycamore mentioned. >Each of the power plants lines up with each of these areas because they're the "power plants" from 3,000 years ago . >The power plant trio will most likely gain a signature move or special item by being brought to each of the "new" power plants. They could do something like a free content patch, though. Pic related is a game released by Level-5 last year for the PSP and Vita, called Danball Senki W. It had about a third of the main story locked away at release and ending on a fake-out ending at the end of Chapter 10, then a few months later they released the v2.01 patch which included the last third of the story in aChapter 11, a dozen or two more robots to collect, more special attacks, more sidequests, more dungeons, more party members, and more. Now here's the thing, the only things brand-new to the game were the special attacks, the dungeons, and the story content. The party members, robots, and flavor text for the sidequests were all in the game already, just not fully implemented.
XY could be doing that, a post-game region with another couple dozen new Pokemon and another dozen or two Mega Evolutions, with the Pokemon and moves all already on the game cart but inaccessible as the game is. This sort of thing is possible, Level-5 did a similar patch for their 3DS game called Fantasy Life, including adding online play, but they still charged money for that patch.

So Volcanion still has "the passionate fire of the energy of life." Considering the many means of generating electricity/energy around Kalos, and Lysandre's comments about not having enough for everyone, it would make sense that
the trio are probably for renewable (Volcanion), semi-renewable (Diancie), and non-renewable (Hoopa) resources. Anonymous

>>15099544 I think you misread what I said. I suggest you get a dictionary, reread that, get some orange juice, maybe an icepack for your head, then try and respond.
Japanese does not work the way you think it does, Japanese borrow words, but not the meaning of those words, and if the meanings are slightly borrowed, they are often different in usage. In fact most of them don't mean anything similar to the words they were borrowed from.
In Japan, DLC refers specifically to pay-per-package model.
Now maybe in a few days you'll have actually let that sunk in and can intelligently respond back.

Imagine if the item was obtainable in the game to unlock a power plant, but you had to do a specific thing, on a specific day, at a specific spot (something similar to Rotom but an item instead of a pokemon). And imagine if the item was hidden.
