It's easy to get 4 or so perfect IVs, so it's best just to go with the most important ones.

Hey there, so I didn't want to start a new thread.

I'm new to the whole breeding pokes thing. I'm trying to make a mamoswine with Icicle crash. I've got an adamant swinub with near perfect IVs. I remember reading that Mamoswine doesn't learn Icicle crash naturally so I figured I'd breed a beartic with icicle crash and one of my genetic swinub monsters.

Problem is that none of them have been learning icicle crash. I've tried it with both genders and I even tried breeding a cubchoo with icicle crash through two beartic parents, both knowing the move. It didn't know it.

What am I doing wrong?

While we're on the subject of breeding how do I get a pokemon with their hidden ability? I have a Froakie with Torrent, but I want Protean. Do I just keep breeding Froakie with a Ditto until one baby has Protean?

Maybe it learns it by level or doesn't have it as an egg move in Gen 6?
Cubchoo and Shellder don't get it anyway.
