The Meowstics however are grown, and also are fully aware of their autism and know to hold it back so they don't offend others. That's why they're more stoic while we see Espurrs in the overworld doing things like playing pranks, or having an actual angry reaction to you trying to mess with their ears in Amie, since they aren't able to express their love or concern properly and do so by acting out towards others or growing angry with you.
I respect that, and that makes me like them all the more.
