Mike was getting ready to leave the Celadon Pokemon Center, after getting his team prepared for what was to come. They'd been through quite a lot already... Just one more mission, and then it would all be over. This would probably be the toughest yet, even given what the last one had involved. It was time to head out, with the trainer and his team making their way back to the ship they'd received the mission briefing on. It remained to be seen only whether he'd prepared well enough. [Mike's packing 20 each of Max Potions, Full Heals, Full Restores, Revives, and Max Revives. He's expecting this to be absolutely brutal, comparatively speaking.]

Suddenly, without any warning, a rather healthy looking specimen of the axew genus burst from the egg. Unlike it's father, this thing was rather large for it's species, and looked like it could take on the world without even trying. Truely, the breeder's skills had shown through in spades.

Really, these guys are a lot less "autistic" than the We R Pokemon guys, but even they weren't that bad compared to some of the threads I've seen here today

The hatchling looked rather perterbed at the coddling, but didn't seem to act up, almost as if he was so cool, a little baby talk couldn't POSSIBLY make him less badass. He looked to his "mama" almost as if expecting something. Something REALLY AWESOME

Together Luci, the Channeler, and Vader burst, disrupt, or slice off the growths. One by one they release their captive energy, which is scattered to either fade away or be recovered by Channeler's ghosts. The creature, deprived of its sustenance, rapidly shriveled up into little more than a husk. The goo left in the room lost its form, spreading out to cover the floor.

The final strand of soul energy melded with Luci, returning to where it belonged. After being severed previously, the fragments weren't perfectly rejoined, but it worked well enough. The recovered fragments seemed to have brought back some small bits of some other power, filling in the cuts and 'welding' the fragments back together.

Mike would find himself standing alone in a room... it looked vaguely familiar... but he couldn't put a finger on it, the wood floors look aged and the place seemed to creak and rock as the wind blew around him.

The floor was covered in dust covered papers, and faded banners... the moonlit sky barely shining through the narrow windows along the walls.

The wind itself was a frigid cold, an unearthly one that seemed to seep into his bones... what's worse, is he was completely alone.

Mike would be forced to step carefully across the dark littered floor carefully to the window the trainer looking out into the night sky and down to the city below, a city he was familiar with, and a city that was in flames.
He could clearly see it was Ecruteak City, the memories of the fighting her coming up full swing the battle seeming to replay below and before him... which of course would give him the dawning realization of where he was... and what was about to happen.
Almost as if to give him another warning he heard a loud creaking noise coming from the boards behind him, even as he watched the fighting draw closer and closer to him.

The path they took before was the same as always, but it seemed to lead no where.

In the harsh red light Mike could barely make out his surroundings, but did notice the large floating island that seemed to loom ahead of him.

The sky itself seemed to suddenly light up as the sky above him became filled with meteors which began to rain down on the landscape around him, the ground itself seeming to heat up around him rapidly.
