It's all just opinion, your favorite pokemon and my favorite pokemon are completely different, so instead of focusing on the ones you don't like focus on the ones you do. For instance I hated the Ice-cream cone pokemon. I hated them. Over time however, they've grown on me. Same with Trubbish and Garbordor. Those two started on my hate list, But Garbordor has become one of my Top 5's just from the way it looks alone.
Pokemon have a charm to them. Their designs, no matter how stupid you feel they are. Will grow on you if you allow them to.
Pokemon are virtual creatures that you are able to feel a bond to. Why not take the ones you hate and try to see if, through battling and raising it, you can love it regardless of it is.
I mean fuck, I even love Bidoof, I'm actually shamed I ever said he was ugly, that thing got really fuck adorable in the time that I was using it in X/Y. All i'm saying, dude is. In a game where you have virtual pets. You gotta love them pets.
