ITT we come up with a Pokemon Dance Competition for Z so Tierno will seem slightly less pointless
What I've come up with so far:
>Stats translate equally into dance stats instead of RSE Contest's shitty poffin system
>HP is stamina, Attack is fucking Pizzazz or something, SpAtk is Technique, etc
>Dancing has Abilities all its own, so mons that are worthless in battle might be OP motherfuckers at dancing
>Works similar to a triple battle format, the middle mon is your Lead and should be your strongest, the ones to the left and right are its backup dancers
>ideal backup dancers have lots of ways to buff and support the leader, who ideally has lots of flashy moves
>Dance contests have their own cast of characters separate from the Gym storyline, complete with Leaders in each town, a douchey rival kid who shit talks your sweet moves all the time, Tierno is actually pretty good at the dancing to make up for how bad he sucks at battle, etc
>ultimate reward is a visit from a Legendary dancer pokemon who appears only to the greatest dancers
>psychically invites you to its hideaway in the forest, appears flanked by twin Meowstics. It snaps its fingers, both start beatboxing as it strikes a pose
>the gauntlet is thrown
