I'm surprised by how high leveled the pokemon in the victory road are. The wild pokemon are level 56-60 while my pokemon are just level 50-55

i wasn't even grinding and i was in the high 60s by that point. i only fought the trainers in my path.

this is like the first time in pokemon where i was overleveled rather than underleveled fighting the gym leaders and i didn't even grind, I only did the fights i had to. Maybe its all that catching exp. and exp all.

Yeah, I was in my 60's before the 3'rd Gym and I spent most of the time just EV training and catching all the different kinds of pokemon.

I had the same issue, I was about the same level as the wild encounters, but I didn't use the exp share. The E4 wasn't that tough though, even underleveled.
