Best EV spread/nature on this thing?

I was thinking speed/HP, but I'm not sure. As for nature, something benificial to speed.

When I eventually get mine, I'm planning on Bold with max HP/Def, using Light Screen for the priority and to cover his SpDef, and if it happens to lure out any physical attackers, he's got Foul Play.

But, y'know, whatever works for you.

its best off being really annoying.

Some moves that work for it:

Substitute
Dual Screens
Thunder Wave
Torment
Rain Dance (this will also help cover its weakness to fire types)

it's not really made to attack so you're best off with either Foul Play (Damage is proportional to the enemy's attack stat) or Draining Kiss to heal HP

I don't think the game has settled enough to know a "best" EV spread for him.

However, I am currently running Bold Nature and an EV spread that allows him to have equal Def and Sp.D

HP 252 / Def 68 / Sp.D 188.

It allows Klefki to have the exact same Def and Sp.D, which I think is superior to going all into one defensive stat line, especially right now when the meta hasn't settled at all yet.

While being Liepard is fun, Klefki's spikes are pretty valuable as well. I have this set with the substitute removed so I can hazard on free turns.

The setup can also be mimic'd with Calm Nature, just need to flip the EVs around.

Draining Kiss

Decided to ditch Calm mind for Light Screen since that has a more immediate use.

Bold Nature, 252 HP and Def. Oh and it's holding a big root because whatever, draining kiss

Spikes pays out shit dividends just to put out 3 layers.

If it got Stealth rocks or Toxic spikes, maybe.

But regular spikes? It's better off doing something else.

Bulk spread

It isn't gonna attack, and it's primary role is as a prankster which means no speed.

But Steel/Fairy is a REALLY good resistance spread, TBH. It's weak to, what, ground and that's it?

Put a bulk spread on it and call it a day

Fairy isn't weak to fire, steel is.

Fairy just does reduced damage to fire pokemon because Gamefreak felt bad for charizard and didn't bother to pick a type interaction that made sense

Ghost/dark was never all that good; this gen's ghost/dark is electric/levitate.

Fairy/Steel is more like this generation's ghost/steel (since ghost/steel got added just as they removed steel's resistance to dark and ghost).

Fire was always a terrible defensive type, it could actually use the boost.
