I love Mega Aggron, but it's special defense sucks. In order to fix that, I've decided to pass Amnesia with Gorebyss, and maybe Aqua Ring too. Thoughts on this set?

I suppose it could work. It's similar to the more common practice of passing shell smash, which I think Gorebyss is like one of three Pokemon who can do that.

That's unfortunate. I've been passing double teams and shell smashes on WiFi like it was nobody's business. It's annoying to deal with but I hardly understand why it would be banned.

How about stockpile pass? You could use Drifblim or Mawile for this.

Also a Furret with Frisk can use Trick to cripple stuff and then setup for it with amnesia and baton pass. Probably not a better choice than Gorebyss. What I don't like about Gorebyss is that both of its abilities work under rain, which would probably be bad for aggron. I think I would forgoe aqua ring on Gorebyss and run Rest/Talk on Aggron instead, just so Gorebyss gets one attack move at least.

I'd much rather Amnesia pass, due to Megaggron not needing any extra defense, and Amnesia giving it SpDef twice as fast. I might forgo Aqua Ring though, since it might be hard to get more than one turn of setup.

I think Furret is viable if your predicting is good. You could cripple a sweeper with trick, and it gives you a turn to setup Amnesia. The only prob is that you could die on the turn you baton pass. I suppose it could work if you go for max def/spdef tho.

It also requires epic prediction skills but frisk makes it easier. You could always just save Furret for when you see something that usually tries to setup, be it tank or sweeper.

Ah, okay. Didn't even think about that. I might try your Furret set though, sounds interesting. Probably give him Flame Orb? The only problem I see with it is that if their only Physical Sweeper is carrying a choice item, then you're fucked. And choice items seem to be pretty popular on physical sweepers.

I got another idea, how about you put aqua ring instead of substitute on gorebyss, and run substitute on aggron instead. I figure filter and massive defenses would give its substitute enough bulk to take two hits, maybe even from SE attacks.

The only flaw I see is Aqua Rings duration.

Well flame orb would cripple the choice sweeper but it would also cripple your furret once you trick. So you would be forced to switch out, the bad thing about this is also that you can't really setup with Furret until you get rid of the Flame Orb so you NEED to skillfully throw it on a mon you know you can cripple with the flame orb. If its a choice user instead, then you need to cripple the choice user then switch out and throw furret again to cripple a non-choice user.

Ideally, you use trick to give you a free turn to setup so tricking a choice item might be better.

It all depends on how many turns I have to set up. It seems like it would be hard to get 3 turns to use Amnesia, Aqua Ring, AND Baton Pass, since Gorebyss's speed is such shit. As of right now, I'm thinking about giving her an attack instead of Aqua Ring in her 3rd slot.

Gorebyss has good defense tho, as long as you're not trying to setup on something completely stupid, you could probably do it. Also, if you run rain, Gorebyss gets swift swim, so its essentially two turns and in the third turn aggron is the one that takes a hit once you baton pass. It also lets you switch in Aggron into fire types
