Why is he so selfish? Why did he think that being beaten by a young trainer immediately means you shouldn't feel guilty for the death of millions of people and Pokemon you caused yourself anymore? He lived for 3,000 years and what did he do all this time? Just wander around searching for his Pokemon? Why didn't he try to make up for his own mistakes by, for example, taking care of injured Pokemon or trying to improve himself as a trainer and create a stronger bond with Pokemon? He had always been a selfish retard, he killed millions of Pokemon mostly to accomplish his own selfish goals and did nothing to improve the situation even though he lived for so many years. He could have at least aided the protags during the journey. Why did his Pokemon return at the end? He did nothing to deserve it back. I hope he will be a better person in the next games.

And we all know that legends almost always greatly exaggerate the truth or leave out things due to parts of the story getting lost to time. Is it so hard to believe that the fact he was a pokemon in human form got lost somewhere in those 3000 years and only the part of a "tall man" remained? And did you go through the entire fucking game without talking to any NPCs other than trainers or those you were forced to? Several times they state that humans and pokemon were once similar. A boy even tells you his favorite story is the one of the froakie who turns into a man. The fairy gym leader also implies that she's not fully human if you talk to her postgame.

So if you have an alpha squirtle leading a gang of squirtle and training them to do things or giving them commands, does that not make it a pokemon trainer? I think what we can agree on is that:

1. They had similar resources then as they do today (Pokemon-- look at the technology used by other ancient civilizations in the anime, like the staff that controlled pokemon).

The explination of how mega stones work is described in game as using the bond between pokemon and trainer to evolve the pokemon temporarily. The same fucking reason why and how any other animal has features or abilities to protect and defend itself in real life. The crystal just "does it's thing" after being created by some man? How did he generate and form the crystals? How did he make them "just work"? Did he just jam them together and tell xerneas what to do? And when we battle with pokemon in game, they faint, not die. Pokemon centers don't revive them from death. And every WMD in gens 1-5 all had a computer to control or manipulate them and the legendaries used to power them in some way. This one did not until 3000 years later.

Unless everything NPCs say is 100% literal truth this doesn't really confirm that she's non-human. It's probably just further confirmation that she is indeed a furry. She wants there to be no distinction between pokemon and people to validate her own feelings- note that she says why 'should' there be a distinction rather than why 'is'. Looking at obvious truth and questioning it anyway is the logical first step when someone wants to live out a fantasy.
