Flareon is a beast in-game, 95 base special attack is still pretty good. Although competitively it will always be outclassed by Darmanitan and Arcanine.

The problem is that while some people were crying for Flare Blitz, others were saying Flareon would STILL be shit even if it got Flare Blitz. Its HP is terrible and it will typically kill itself from recoil damage. This is not helped by its movepuddle.

Flareon should have never been a Physical Attacker with no SPE in the 1st place.

It doesn't have the HP stat to go around spamming Flare Blitz. In fact, if it 1HKOs a Chansey or Blissey, it'll lose up to 88% of its health to recoil.

I felt that even if it had 95 in any Defensive stat wouldn't help it as much as it in the HP stat.

It will have bad defensive stats, but at least it's HP may save it sometimes.

Flareon has boths Special with 95 and 110 because is a Gen I Eeveelution.

Eevee in Gen I have a Stat Spread of 55/55/50/65/55 (HP, Atk, Def, Spcl, Spd)

One of the 55 Stats get buffed up to 130, the special always hits 110 and the rest just got up by 10.

The with the Special Split they give 95 in one of the special stats... And was 95 just because no eeveelution out-stat any starter. In Gen 1 The eeveelutions have 430 of BST while all three starter get stuck at 425.

it does few thing better than RK9 and Darmanitan. It got acces to Baton Pass and Flame Charge which is unique combination.

I got bored on Showdown once and made an Eeveelution team, one of the members being a Flareon (Guts, Toxic Orb, Rest, Flame Charge, Sleep Talk, Facade). It hit pretty hard, although it was walled by a lot of things.
