So I just had a fantastic idea for a new Pokemon game. Hear me out.

So this game is split into two parts.

First part is a simulation game, set in the past, you have to colonize a new randomly generated region (layout is random, as is what Pokémon live where and so on), building and developing settlements, building roads between them, exploring caves and forests for resources etc, etc.

Then after certain conditions are met (like X settlements built, or X amount of time passed) it skips to the present day, where the region changes depending on how you played the first part. Like if a settlement was developed enough it becomes a City and can have a Gym, if not it becomes a Town, if a lot of industrial buildings are built Pokémon like Grimer and Voltorb start living in around them, if you built certain structures or explored certain areas in the first part Legendary Pokémon will settle there. This is where the second part begins, where you play through this region in the usual Pokémon style.

So basically, kinda like Dwarf Fortress, where can explore the places you created in Fortress Mode while playing in Adventure Mode.

What do you think of this idea?
