Ok, so I have a question. In the past I have run perfectly effective and deadly sets for a mixed Infernape, and a mixed Lucario. Yes, I'm aware those are probably terrible in the meta game but anywhere else they wreck shit. Looking at the stats and movepool and stats, Greninja should be able to do the same thing, yet even after EVing him in both attacks he just seems... lackluster. He's got the speed, he's got the moves, am I just doing something wrong? Any suggestions for a decent mixed Greninja?

>>15129874 >>15129990 Yeah, MixApe was OP as fuck in the early stages of Gen 4 Meta. Then Platinum move tutors came and fucked EVERYTHING. It was almost mandatory to have a Zapdos or Heatran or anything that could check a Scizor on your team.

It's power creep. He has the stats for a gen 4 meta game, but this gen heavily nerfed offense in general, so it doesn't have the same sweeping power as it would in previous gens.

>>15130230 There's no reason to. What made MixApe viable was that his attacking stats were basically equal, it all depended on EV Spread. With Greninja, his Special outclasses the fuck out of his Attack, so you're better off focusing on just that.
