I figured I might as well try, and it worked, though the screen was black for a good ten seconds. It was obvious I wasn't supposed to be in this part of the city yet, though, because there was a noticeable lag when my character started to move. The music was slowed, too, and after a few minutes it just stopped playing. The NPCs on the street were choppy and glitching out, and if I tried to talk to them, the text would either be distorted or come out in another language. I thought that maybe going into a building would help set the game back on track, so I entered the next one I came to.
There was a woman at the counter and two kids, none of which would speak when I would try to talk to them. I took the elevator to explore the building further and went to the second floor. When I got off and began walking forward, the game froze yet again, but it was different this time. The lights flickered and from behind me floated the now well known Ghost Girl.
She stopped a few steps ahead of me. "No...you're not the one." Her text is perfectly readable and in English.
At this point, I was confused and wondering if Nintendo would really release a game this glitchy. I exit the building, and the city is normal. The NPCs are speaking fine, and I'm not experiencing anymore lag.
I figure that since I have access to this area I'm not supposed to yet, I'll keep exploring if the game isn't bugging out anymore.
I go through every building, cafe, and restaurant until I come to Lumiose Station.
You're all familiar with the writing on the back of the timetable, correct?
I go into the station and the lights there start flickering. I'm thinking to myself, "not this again"! The camera pans away from me and I see the Ghost Girl by the second time table.
