Bro, stop. Shineys are nice and all but IV's are better. Set your autism to the side until you can at the very least MM with a 5 iv destiny knot. Destiny knot doesn't outright guarantee they will all pass but you would end up with a halfway decent pokemon at the end as opposed to some random mutant with no good stats and a shitty nature.

Started during Red/Blue era. Gyarados is my record shiny so far, because I try to get one. With Fish chaining, I can keep trying for better stats every time. The one I have right now is female with "relatively superior stats" and 31 IVs in attack. I didn't think wild pokemon had those stats.

I want to get Shiny Gengar, Gardevoir, Eevee, Flabebe, Jigglypuff, Goomy and Pikachu and a couple others.

I started MMing Noibats this morning and I'm about two boxes in. I lucked out with the parents (got a Japanese Noibat off the GTS with four perfect IVs) so I've been getting some pretty nice results. I counted twelve with a spread of 31/x/31/31/31/31.

I don't think Pokebank can even tell the difference between hacked and legit pokes, as long as you make it look like it could be legit (so no impossible stats or moves it couldn't possibly learn or shit like that).

I found this guy in the Friend Safari yesterday night.

Perfect IVs in HP and Attack, but ended up getting Modest nature.

What should I do with it? I was thinking a Mega and Pure Power might be able to make up for the nature, but that's just me being hopeful since I want to use it.

Just found my first shiny ever after 1000's of hours across the generations.

A fucking Whismur. Complete with 3D rendered anus. Shit nature, shit stats, and I hate it. Caught it in a premier ball, which is nice. It's my first shiny though, so I'll keep it.

What is the most effective method of getting shinys? Besides chain fishing, I don't really care for any of the water types. How about PokeRadar? Or do you just spend 100+ hours breeding to get a single shiny?

100+ Hours breeding with the Masuda Method. Although it's not always 100+ Hours, I got my froakie in around 12. It's really time consuming but worth it if you like the palette.

Not trying to be insulting here, I'm genuinely curious. How do people have the time for that? I have a job and I play Pokemon on the train back and forth, at lunch, and for a little while in the evening. I just don't have the time for this much playing. It's the same problem with IV's. I mean, I can breed for a specific nature, since that only takes a few hours, but if it takes me 2-3 hours to get a beneficial nature, and it can take like 30+ tries to get decent IV's, right? Ridiculous. I would really like them to make the pokemon's stats less random. I want to be able to train the IV's or change the nature. Anyone else feel like that?
