Somewhat more conditional Life Orb/Choice Item, depending on how you're getting the boosts.

Would this be a good competitive item or not?

Nothing boosts BP except for move effects. It's *base* power, not effective power.

Also, that's either broken to Hell or completely useless, depending on the situations. Look at rain for example, your Azumarill is suddenly doing double damage with it's Aqua Jet instead of just 1.5, with no drawbacks. But then put in on, say, Strong Jaw Tyrunt. The extra damage probably won't make a huge difference.

Also, as written it sounds like this would double huge power boosts and turn a +6 stat boost into x8. That's really messed up and I hope it's not what you meant.

No, boosts to attack are not boosts to BP, to be fair. I assume this is for things like Iron Fist or Mega Launcher, but by god this on a Clawitzer or a Technician Scizor would be insanely OP.
