Update is live that supposedly fixes the Lumoise Save Bug as well as any GTS search issues that were happening.

Just go on the eShop. It will probably tell you that you have updates available for blah blah blah and prompt you to download them.

Scan the QR codes with your 3DS camera, or visit the Nintendo shop on your 3DS. It should pop up saying there's an update for your game. If it doesn't, you can find it under settings/other->updates.

Are the Hard copies that are shipped as of today going to have the patch?

If not and I buy a cartridge, does the patch work with that?

I doubt it, they would have to go though all the cartridges that were already manufactures and change it. If you get it today just start it up so its registered then open e shop, you should be prompted automatically

The patch only prevents corruption, so if it's already corrupted it won't help, but I did check out the website and they did say they were going to release an app to recover the data

Yes. GTS bugs out, tells you to restart the system. You do. Now the game tells you your data is corrupted.

My save was never corrupted by the GTS, but the official notice with this update says it fixes saves...

Maybe it fixes the Lumiose issue, but it didn't work for me. In my case, I can't even load the game properly. It simply gives me this screen, the only way out is either pressing X + B + Up, prompting to delete all my data or to restart the system (or home menu)

Maybe you should wait a little longer I checked out that post a few days ago and it said they were working on an app, I guess they took that part out. Try contacting Nintendo support and see if there will be an app
