None. I think all generations have their good and bad points. There's no generation where I've greatly liked every single starter.

However... 3 and 6 probably have my overall favorite starters.

This is based almost entirely on design, though. In battle is different with gen 5 almost entirely last.

The gen 3 starters were the best whole set of starters.

The gen 6 starters are not bad, but so far I've trained Chesnaught and Delphox and both just cannot take a hit.
