If you're running Band/LO, regular Scizor is better. Bulkier sets with SD/Roost is better as a mega.

Mega Banette is 1000% better than regular.

Not enough testing's been done at all. This list is pure speculation, likely by a small group.

On top of that, it's both inaccurate (Doesn't list all megas) and too narrow-minded. A tier list that stats essentially being either good or bad is not a good tier list.
It's safe to disregard this, as Smogon itself doesn't even follow it.

Mega Scizor is the worst of the bunch. It only gets a relatively minor boost in attack for some admittedly decent bulk, but Scizors bulky moveset is his worst. Stick with Choice Band or Life Orb.

It's interesting that even though a lot of the Megas got HUGE boosts to their base stats a lot of them are only just barely treading water above their item holding base form equivelents.

It is, sadly. Mega Bannette and Heracross are actually worse than the originals. They're the only two that are, for sure.

Banette's prankster doesn't activate the turn it mega-evolves, making it's low defensive stats even more noticeable. That, along with no priority recovery moves, doesn't justify the mega-slot.
Heracross loses speed which is problematic, and gains an inferior ability. Heracross' two problems were it's low speed and good-but-not-outstanding movepool. The Mega does nothing to fix this.

Mind you, a "bad mega" is different than a bad pokemon. Those two are great in their own right until you consider that megas aren't competing with other pokemon, they're competing for a team slot with other Megas. "Good" doesn't cut it when everything else is insane.

Chomp is WAY overlooked. It's role now should be similar to that of Wallbreaker Rayquaza, possibly even making a rough Double Dragon core with Salamence.
Garchomp's always wanted to run Special Fire moves to deal with Steels, so giving it a buff in SpAtk makes it a wallbreaking cannon. It's only real problem would be Togekiss, but running Stone Edge or Iron Head would solve this issue, as Chomp still outspeed Togekiss.

Seriously, this thing breaks down doors and lets other sweepers sweep with little issue. It's by no means worse than the original, just a different build.

Heracross gains a stronger stab move with his mega, pin missile with 25bpx5 @95 accuracy is better than megahorns 120 bp@70 accuracy (might be 80, don't remember for sure). He also has normal/grass/fighting coverage/synergy with skill link as well.

Mega Scizor should run a SD set, which he could do way better than regular scizor, considering the added bulk and power, although regular CB scizor hits better right off the bat.
Mega-Aggron excels as a physicL wall, but isn't near the offensive threat CB head smash Aggron is. As that's not the role he's meant to fulfil.
I could type one of these out for every mega.
My point is, megas are better at some things than their regular alternatives. And vice versa. But you shouldn't call a mega shit for not being as good at some things as a regular mon, as clearly you aren't using its niche role correctly.

M-Manectric completely outclasses Manectric's expert belt set, which is popular in RU personally I think Galvantula beats both of them in the tier as an electric type, being faster with better stabs. But that's not the argument here
I haven't run the math, but even If expert belt Manectric hits slightly harder, the extra speed puts it above specs Galvantula and other volt switchers within the tier. Plus, dropping Intimidate the turn he goes mega doesn't hurt.

Hell I kind of think that about Charizard-Y, but I guess people really like the free weather. He's better than Ninetales at it a little I guess, since Ninetales was completely fucking useless at doing anything but set up Sun in Gen 5. Charizard can at least attack a little, I guess. I've still ran in to several while playing and haven't had a problem with a single one.

His speed is an issue and Trick Room teams are kind of gimmicky. They sound good in practice but there isn't anything that casts it as soon as it switches in like Drought, Sandstream or Drizzle. You're forced to waste a turn to even get it up and if it's not up for an extended period of time your team is at a massive disadvantage and your opponent can get you on the ropes easily.

But weather teams have pokemon that can make the sun harsh, the rain pour and cause a sandstorm without using a move for it. Back in Generation 4 when the only pokemon who could cast a Rain Dance or Sunny Day Effect without using a move were both ubers and as a result they weren't that popular. Politoed and Ninetales get that ability and all of a sudden these teams pop up. Along with GF also adding new abilities that give using Sand even more benefits than it already had. I don't think Trick Room will ever be that good nor will a lot of people bother using it unless a pokemon comes out that has an ability that causes a Trick Room Effect as soon as it switches in.

Also I'd probably say that a Trick Room team without Trick Room up is probably at a greater disadvantage than a weather team without its weather up.
