We have no idea what the rates are for either in this Gen, but if you want to take my educated guess, I'd say the odds are similar, but Hordes are WAY faster.

I have a concern. I didn't think about it until recently

I've been breeding for a shiny Beldum, I'm about 4 boxes in.

But when I see the general guide pic it says something about the parents being adults.

I've been breeding with a beldum, not a metagross. Does it need to be a Metagross? Have I been wasting my time?

You're 4 boxes in which means you have already gotten an egg with your beldum which means you should be able to realise that your beldum is giving eggs and the rule doesn't apply to beldum and that the guide says nothing about you needing an adult for a shiny but just for the ability to have an egg which you have many of.

Its Japanese and has a neutral nature BUT perfect Def and SpA IVs. I don't know if I would want him, but also not sure what I would trade him for. (He's in a Premier Ball and has Pokerus)
