But that removes the point of foul play.

Foul play runs off the target's attack stat meaning if they're swaggered they take heavy damage regardless of who's using it.

Klefki has weak attacking stats itself so it's perfect for the little bugger.

Malamar is best off just spamming Superpower and using Night Slash/Psycho Cut when needed.

ive thought about replacing play rough with swagger on my klefki..
right now i'm running spikes, thunder wave, rough play and foul play

I'd consider replacing Play Rough and Spikes.

Klefki just doesn't have the power to use Play Rough to the fullest, and Spikes just doesn't pay out dividends like other entry hazards.

Dual Screens keeps this fucker from dying, alternatively you can run one screen and draining kiss, which, while weak, keeps Klefki alive longer.
