Team looks decently balanced, OP. Not too many objective complaints. There are plenty of better choices for a psychic or fairy than gardevoir, but whatever raises your barn.

You're sort of really weak to Ghost after you lose that Froakie, and considering it's really weak defensively and you want it to not be its regular type 90% of the time, that's going to be a situation you really want to look into considering the wide usage of Mega Gengar.

not much can OHKO aegislash, and against a 2HKO it can either shadow claw and then shadow sneak, or swords dance and shadow sneak.

Shadow Sneak still has low BP, I've been able to kill it just by switching in Garchomp or Greninja and then subsequently killing it after he Shadow Sneaks once. It's almost impossible for this thing to do any sweeping since it's too slow and after it attacks it's incredibly frail.

To me it seems best used as something to switch in later in the battle when everything has been weakened enough, use it to clean up the mess your other pokemon made.

I'm planning on using him as a defensive core along with mega-gyarados, but he's also my counter against mega-gengar by shadow sneaking after using swords dance.

Aegislash can probably fill a niche somewhere, but I think people are looking at the high attack and special attack and assume he's overpowered or something, he's not that hard to deal with at all.

KS isn't really that good of a move, since to compensate for the fact that physical attacks on KS lowers attack it doesn't block status. Most of the time it's a waste of a move slot. I pretty much agree that a Life Orb or Choice Band would suit it best.

Aegislash won't be banned, he isn't hard to take out. If he had really high speed on top of his high attack and special attack then maybe, but he's still slow and has to rely on Shadow Sneak to attack first.

Eh, it's actually a REALLY STRONG move. I've been working with a Lefties set, and it gives me the free turns to gain HP back at worst/going back into shield mode, crippling an opposing threat at best.

It's only real threats will be those big guys who can hit him with SE moves.

It doesn't block Status though, so someone could use WoW on you and then cripple Aegislash. Also just like with Protect someone could use your turn you used to protect to set up. Most people are aware of what it does, and will scout first to see if your Aegislash even does it, not all physical moves make physical contact either, including the one that works best against Aegislash, Earthquake.

I think you're overvaluing that WoW. The move is extremely potent when used properly, and accurately predicting moves (like playing around an obvious WoW carrier, for instance).

But yes, things like chomp and other EQ users will force it out as well as things that could cripple it feasibly well.

But of course everything has flaws somewhere, or else this thing would legitimately go into ubers.

No, it wouldn't.

Just like you said I might be overvaluing WoW I think anyone who thinks this thing is even close to uber is overvaluing how powerful Shadow Sneak is and forgetting just how frail it is when it isn't in Shield mode. It pretty much has to use Shadow Sneak to attack first too, it's not going to outspeed much of anything.

3v3 doesn't have rocks to worry about most of the time.

In the same strain, 3v3 also allows for 2-3 megas on a team since you can easily leave the others behind.

I'm not even really saying it's relatively common weaknesses make it not uber, I'm saying that it isn't as great as people are making it out to be. It's slow, it's frail outside of shield mode, its typing even isn't the greatest anymore with Steel being nerfed and Shadow Sneak, even with STAB and a high attack isn't going to ohko something that resists it or has a decent amount of bulk. It's something that could do some damage, but it would take team effort, you'd have to clear all of the shit that could threaten it.

level 60-68, water/fire/steel/dragon and the champ has mega gardevoir. Honestly I beat it with barely any issue on my first run, if you can OHKO the mega gardevoir then you're fine, even if you can't it's really not that bad, I did fine with my non EV trained shitty natured team.

Alright I have Clawitzer with sludge bomb with over 200 special attack. level 62.
The gengar I'm using atm has max evs in special attack and also knows stab sludge bomb so I should be fine with mega gardevoir.
All pokes are in the 62-63 range will that be fine?

Gah. It's killing me, I just can't find a good fit for that last slot.
I had a Galewing Talonflame in there for a while, but it just didn't feel right in the grand synergy of the team

First of all online battling and smogon do not go hand in hand, the online battles don't have tiers or anything. Second of all, no, if you don't want to put any effort into learning to play well and breeding good 'mons you will be shat on consistently.

What I'm probably going to do is find one Pokemon that's in relatively high demand, with a good nature, breed a bunch of them and trade the 4-5 IV ones for other good IV-d Pokemons I could use.

Seems a lot easier than breeding every member of my team individually.

Every pokemon who was fighting gets 100% everyone else gets 50% (before traded/lucky egg bonuses) no one loses EXP over it. There are literally no downsides to using it.

Venesaur sucks. He feeds me kills every time he is on a team. So does Greninja, Gardevoir, and Aegislash. Only Talonflames I encountered died.

My team: Mega Amphoros, Gengar, Snorlax, Malamar, Talonflame, and Lapras/Golem. 27+ wins and counting.

Also, Mega Blazikens weakness: Mega Amphoros. Every. Single. Time.

I wanted to make a team of all 6th gen guys, so I chose my favorites and here they are. Don't really care if lots of people are using them, or if they aren't the strongest around.
