Heart Scales are a 50-60% chance of being on the only Pokemon you can encounter on Route 8 with an old rod

You can also buy them with pokemiles and get several dozen free ones through the course of the game.

And why are you blaming them for your stupidity?
They have the system in place so you don't miss out on all your moves you get when leveling up, because that would be even more retarded having a level 50something with thundershock and tackle as its only two moves.

You can't have it both ways.

This is why everyone loves someone with a Ditto safari.

Step 1: Get the pokemon you want, with everything you want (Natures, egg moves, and abilities) but don't worry about IVs yet.

Step 2: Catch a shit-ton of Dittos from the safari. Breed them together with the destiny knot until you get a perfect ditto.

Step 3: Breed your ideal Pokemon with that ditto until you get an offspring who is also perfect, and also has at least one perfect IV.

Step 4: Take the original pokemon out and breed the offspring with the IV with the ditto until you get a pokemon with two perfect IVs.

Step 5: Repeat step 4 until you end up with a pokemon with all perfect IVs, OR until the pokemon has all IVs that you want maxed, maxed. Whichever you prefer. Either one is perfectly competitively viable.

That is such an awful idea, holy shit.
You'd be absolutely fucking over anyone who is actually dedicated into the game and rewarding the casuals who would abandon Pokemon 2 weeks after it comes out anyway and don't even know what IVs are. And if you're simply going by "bad ranked rating", that screws over anyone trying to breed who doesn't play ranked, and also promotes retardation by having someone guarantee 6 perfect IVs by losing a lot of battles, swapping them to another game or something, and then using those against everyone else who can no longer breed Pokemon correctly. You're legitimately fucking over the actual fans of your game to cater to the people who wouldn't have a longing interest in it to begin with and won't gain one with the appeal you're giving them.

You sound perfect for the position of advertising the Xbox One, congratulations, you're hired.

IF you're autistic and you want to breed for shinies then you can program it so that even after you get a good IV pokemon and YOU'RE STILL BREEDING the game goes back to normal traits, because you're clearly breeding for shinies at which point the game isn't gonna hand you a shiny perfect IV mon.

It isn't that fucking hard, also make it a short boost so that it only works for a few mons to get you started online, if you want to make even a more diverse team with 10 or so good IV pokemons then you actually need to take your time (which clearly you were gonna do anyways).

Pokemon is a joke, it's archaic RPG system wasn't designed for actual competitive play, it is simply not dynamic enough and way too simplistic.

Take yu gi oh for example, it allows semi competitive play because of the incredibly retarded ammount of rules and ways to play (and even then, it's a joke agianst actual competitive games).

Even mobas are more competitive thank pokemon, pokemon is just too simple to be competitive or anything besides a numbers shitfest.

Neither of these are even slightly right.

Look at Smeargle and compare it to basically every single legendary in RU, UU, and BL.
Look at how Scizor is higher up than fucking Kyurem Black, despite the former having a 500 BST and the latter having a 700 BST.

You're not even using that phrase right. They don't ban you from using anything in lower tiers. Tons of lower tier Pokemons' pages on smogon alone have movesets and shit for other tiers. Durant gets shit usage and has pretty poor stats, but it has a set for OU, one for Ubers, one for UU, and one for its own tier.

You're not even trying to be believable at this point if you're going to be flat out incorrect. At least post more unverified claims or opinions.

And don't even defend pokemon, I remember going through the battle frontier (any battle facility really) with save states and realizing it was all make believe, all the battles were predefined, you would miss certain times no matter what moves you used and the enemy trainer would always land that critical no matter what you did.

Pokemon is artificial as hell and sinking in sea of shit archaic mechanics.

I just don't care anymore, it's fun.

I know the game can shit on you and then shine on you in a split second, I studied statistics for 3 years, so I know what to expect.

That's not how the RNG works like, at all.
Unless you save stated to the point before being able to choose your next move, you wouldn't have budged the RNG an inch.

I remember specifically because I had to keep save stating Pokemon Troll Version to beat the level 100 Gardevoir with my level 30 Machoke.

I save stated at the beggining of the battle. Everything played exactly the same, the only difference was the attacks I used.

I would miss at the third turn, no matter what.

I would get crit'd at the fourth turn, no matter what.

This made the game a joke and the only real skill or game defining choice I had was what pokemon I chose, though sometimes no matter what I chose I was fucked.

Trust me to this day, the noly game I wasn't able to beat with save states is pokemon emerald (the frontier facilities).

IV breeding isn't hard, and the changes to breeding this gen makes it even easier to get egg moves and hidden abilities (moms can now pass egg moves, and dads have a chance to pass hidden abilities)
