How many of you decided not to use your starters?

I'm still torn on whether or not I should use the 2nd starter or not. It's pretty boring seeing someone have Pokemon that was all handed to them with the story, but I don't know if I can abandon adorable Bulbasaur. I'm still using the 1st starter anyways as tradition.

How do you rationalize not using the starter? It just seems to wrong not to.
