>>15183393Honestly I have to agree. Gen 3's soundtrack assblasts all other soundtracks in sheer likability. Even if you don't like the soundfont, listen to the same composition in another soundfont and you'll likely be impressed; that's why it's so easy to make a good remix of gen 3 music.
BUT there is one exception. Gen 6's overworld music was so RIDICULOUSLY good that it coexists with Gen 3's overworld music for the top spot.
And this is coming from a guy who has favorites from every generation. Kanto Gym Leader Music (RBY arrangement), GSC route 22, Kanto Route 3 (RBY arrangement), N's Castle Bridge theme, etc. I love pokemon music from EVERY generation.
I just like gen 3 Hoenn's music the best.
And hell, Sapphire wasn't even my first game, I played Crystal first. Nostalgia isn't hardly even part of it.
