It was my fault because I didn't grind enough. Got swept by Tierno's Talonflame on Route 19 after it got an SD in and my Slowbro was severely weakened from the Shauna battle before it.

It's actually quite hard with no EXP share and a restriction on potion usage in battle

Its like Nuzlocke except you trade the first Pokemon you catch in each area on the wonder trade and use whatever you get back.

Mixed results so far.

It's just harder to bond with pokes you can't nickname.
I will try it though once i beat a normal nuzlocke

Yeah I prefer Nuzlocke but it can be an even bigger challenge depending on your luck.

Also I can't decide if I should Amie with my Pokemon to get more attached, if or if I shouldn't so I don't get the Amie bonuses.

I've been trying this as a combination of a Nuzlocke challenge and a speedrun. It was kind of easy when I first did it, but adding the battle style rule made it challenging. At the end of my first run I only had Delphox and Lapras remaining.

Here's an idea: If anyone is about to start a new Nuzlocke of XY right now, give FC and we can start at the same time and race to the end. We'd need to start with the same ruleset and battle each other after each gym (deaths in that dont count). Trading for evos etc is permitted.
